The name Härtelt has been closely associated with orienteering for many years. Whether as a runner, trainer, organizer or in the press area - employees of Consulting Härtelt GmbH have already traveled to numerous countries around the globe with nature sports. In SV CH Sonnenland e.V. this sport is actively practiced.

In addition, we also support other so-called fringe sports, young talent and other areas that are very important for the general public, such as art and culture. Since 2021, for example, we have been supporting the Palais Summer.

The objective of orienteering is to run a course in unknown terrain as quickly as possible using a map and compass. This course is marked by a number of control points to which the participant of an orienteering race must independently choose an optimal route for himself. The checkpoints must be run in the correct order. The participant who runs the course in the fastest time wins the orienteering race.

Other variations include ski orienteering and mountain bike orienteering, in which the checkpoints must be passed on skis or a bike. In precision orienteering, the focus is on determining the correct points as quickly as possible. Physically impaired athletes can also take part without disadvantage.

It is our concern to pass on the experience of moving in nature and interacting with people from all over the world. That is why we have been supporting orienteering in Germany for many years. For example, we played a key role in building the current internet presence. In 2019, we were the main sponsor for the World Cup finals of mountain bike orienteering. In 2020 and 2023, we supported the Saxon-Bohemian Orienteering Days in Zittau.
